Distribution Of Necessary Materials For Kanyadaan To Girls

Type of SchemeSubsidy up to Rs. 10,000/- can be deposited in the beneficiary's bank account through DBT for distribution of Kanyadan materials for girls from poor families.
Purpose of The SchemePreventing child marriage. Also preventing malnutrition, infant mortality and maternal mortality.
Beneficiary– Girls getting married after 18 years. – Boys getting married after 21 years.
Nature of BenefitDepositing Rs. 10,000/- in the bank account of the concerned beneficiary.
Eligibility Criteria– Girls from poor families or girls from families with annual income up to Rs. 1,20,000/-. – Marriageable age of girl is 18 years, boy is 21 years. – Girl must have passed 10th. – Marriage period between 1 April 2024 and February 2025. – Recommendation of Gram Panchayat is required while submitting application for girls from Gram Panchayat of Palghar district.
Required DocumentsCompleted application form, marriage certificate, all attached documents, Aadhar card, local resident proof (e.g. ration card), Poverty Line Number and Certificate or Income Certificate from Tehsildar, copies of Gram Sabha resolution if in tribal area, copies of bank passbook.

Method of ApplicationThe fully filled application form should be submitted to the Child Development Project Officer through the Anganwadi Worker. At the district level, all applications should be collected from the Child Development Project Officer and submitted for approval by the Women and Child Welfare Committee.
