About The Scheme :

Under the National Biogas Development Scheme, a subsidy of Rs. 14,350/- per project is provided by the Central Government for setting up biogas projects. For the general group, a subsidy of Rs. 14,350/- per project is provided, for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, a subsidy of Rs. 22,000/- per project is provided. If a toilet is attached, an additional Rs. 1,600/- per project is provided. Under the Z.P. Cess Fund, a supplementary subsidy of Rs. 12,000/- per project is also provided.

Beneficiary :

Farmers of all categories can take advantage of this, but the beneficiary must have 2 to 3 animals. Also, a 7/12 land certificate and 8-A copy in the name of the farmer must be available.

  • It helps women avoid smoke and burns. It is an alternative solution if there is no gas cylinder and saves money.

  • It is enough for cooking, breakfast, and heating water for a family of 5-6 members.

  • About two gas cylinders are saved every month. Wood is saved and nature is protected.

  • Good organic fertilizer is available in the form of sewage.

How to apply –

Offline application should be made in the prescribed form at the taluka level. For more information, contact the Agricultural Development Officer at the district level and the Group Development Officer / Agricultural Officer / Agricultural Extension Officer at the taluka level.
