Special Grant for Gram Panchayat Under Jan Suvidha Yojana

Scheme Information

Government of Maharashtra, Rural Development and Water Resources Department Government Decision No. 2010/P.No.62/P NRA-6, dated 16 September 2010, 31 October 2015 and 25 January 2018

Works to be Carried Out Under The Scheme:

To maintain and regulate land management, burial/burial systems in rural areas. For this, the following works are expected to be carried out on the graveyards in the hands of the soil:

  • Cremation/Burial Ground Editing

  • Platform construction

  • Construction of sheds

  • Construction of access road

  • Secure the area by building fencing or walls as required.

  • Electric cremation / modified cremation system as required

  • Water facility

  • Cremation Ghat / River Ghat Construction

  • Land leveling and flooring

  • Memorial Garden

Gram Panchayat Building Related Works :

  • Construction of new Gram Panchayat building and internal facilities

  • Reconstruction/expansion of old building

  • Plantation, improvement, fencing of the area and other ancillary works in the area

Public Facilities And Development Works :

  • To develop a weekly market center within the limits of the Gram Panchayat.

  • Cleaning and beautification of village ponds

  • Solid waste management

  • Underground sewer connection

  • Installation of solar powered double hand pumps and water purification (RO) system on existing wells within the Gram Panchayat limits

Roads under Jan Suvidha Yojana:

  • Internal roads in the village

  • Construction of a road from one slum/shack to another slum/shack

Conditions/Eligibility For Participation in The Scheme :

  1. Administrative approval should be obtained for every work after the consent of the Gram Sabha.

  2. Technical approval should be obtained from the competent authority.

  3. Budget and plan maps are a must.

  4. Maintenance and repairs – to be done by the Gram Panchayat and a Gram Panchayat resolution is required.

  5. The selection of works will be made by the District Planning Committee.

  6. A 7/12 slope or site copy of the area to be worked on.

  7. Certificate that the work submitted is not proposed or approved under any other scheme.

  8. Site map of the proposed site.

  9. The proposal along with the recommendation of the Group Development Officer should be submitted to the Gram Panchayat and forwarded to the Department, Zilla Parishad, Palghar.
