Soil and Water Conservation Department, Government Decision No. Jashia-2022/P.No.302/Jal-7 dated 03.01.2023, Shivar Abhiyan was implemented under Jalyukt Shivar and village-wise plans were prepared.
After this, the said scheme Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan 2.0 and administrative approval orders were received from the District Water Conservation Officer, Soil and Water Conservation Department, Kalwa-Thane, dated 18.01.2024, 01.02.2024 and 02.02.2024.
Accordingly, orders have been issued for a total of 63 works in Palghar district. Among these works, well renewal works are being implemented mainly by the Rural Water Supply Department.
These works will increase the water storage capacity in villages and suburbs, which will improve water availability.
